Do it Now.. !!!

It was fall season with leaves withering down, colorful trees and very pleasant weather in the woods. Hoppy (the tall Green – Grasshopper) stretched down on a swing with his guitar and singing a melody tune ..

Just then he saw a line of Ants busy trying to gather food from a nearby plant and were stocking them up in the Ant Hill.

Hoppy looked at them and started laughing and asked them why they are always worried about food and should be dancing and partying with such a nice weather and so much food around. He thought there was enough time and he need not bother gather food and he can do this later.

Ants felt angry but they ignored him and continued to do their part of gathering the food..

Soon the winds started to get cold, before anyone could realize the snow started to fall – all the plants went bare, no fruits or leaves were there. Hoppy now was shivering and struggling with no food. He heard a chorus of songs and music playing loudly and it was not very far.. he realized that came from the Ant hill

He went to the Ant hill and peaked in – to his amazement, there was lot of food and he saw the Ants relaxing and enjoy the music and having a ball.

He pleaded to the guards of the Ant hill that he be allowed inside so that he can be safe and warm. The leader of Ant was kind enough to let him inside – gave him some warm food and placed him by fire to warm up. This is when Hoppy realized that he was wrong in procrastinating and should have gathered food for himself and find a home for the winter

This behavior is not new to us Humans

A student is required to submit his assignments to the college professor and typically we see that on the day of the submission there is a quite a few folks trying to copy others work or spending the night before in Library to meet this deadline

We are required to submit the documents for Tax savings each year and tendency is to start looking at investing only at the last minute during Feb/March and suddenly discover that you do not have money for the investment and end up paying a higher task..

In summary Kicking the can .. Procrastinating is one of the biggest enemies for us.. Do it now !! Kabir the famous philosopher/poet said once..
